in gear at a stoplight. Then it wouldn't go in gear and I had to stop the engine, put it in 1st, push the clutch to the floor (and it was really stiff for some reason) and when I tried to start it, it was engaged as the car started moving, then jerking and shuttering until the engine fired smooth.. Ugh, ugly ugly.. I'm thinking that one of the connecting bands that hold the pressure plate to its housing let loose and one side of the plate is permanently pushing against the disc.. Weird thing is, I was rev/speed match shifting and I noted that if I pushed the clutch in about half way, it would partially disengage, but if I continued on, it would start to grab more. It still was grabbing pretty good at half-pedal so that didn't make shifting any easier.
